When Is the Right Time To Purchase a Wedding Band?

Published on
So once the proposal is said and done, it is now time to start planning the exciting wedding. With the wedding comes the checklist of what will need to be completed before the big day; picking a venue, the food, the entertainment and last, by not least, the wedding bands. Many couples choose to leave the wedding bands as one of the last ‘to-dos’ on their list as it seems to be the most simple- pick a band and you’re ready to go. Well, the good news is that picking a wedding band isn’t usually as difficult as picking an engagement ring, but it still is an important process that requires time and thought. Here at Mervis we recommend that you come into one of our showrooms to shop for wedding bands at least two months before your wedding date. This way, if there are any issues, everything will be ready sooner than later. Remember, the wedding bands are something that each of you will wear for the rest of your lives, so it’s important that they are ready-to-go for the ceremony. There are some couples that actually choose to pick their wedding bands months before the ceremony, however decide to leave the bands with the jeweler, versus taking it home. Although this might seem like a good idea, it is important that you come pick up the bands at least a few weeks before ceremony so you can try them on and make sure that they fit well and are most importantly, comfortable. The last thing you want to deal with is wearing your band the day of the ceremony and it’s either too loose or too tight (ouch). So in the end, try to make your wedding band search a priority during the hectic time of planning a wedding. Mervis promises to make it the easiest 'check' off your wedding 'to-do' list. hubspot
